Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
1 Peter 3:3,4
In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
1 Timothy 2:9,10

The Femininity Challenge

from http://feelinfeminine.com/?page_id=10

By Jocelyn Tzahala

I was so excited in winter 2007 ago when my friend, Brooke, decided to challenge girls around the world, for a week, to be fearlessly feminine. She did a wonderful job on keeping up with her posts daily, sharing her feminine outfits and thoughts. It really made me smile, and even more so when I saw how many girls were taking up the challenge. Perhaps our world has lost the sweet idea of be feminine, but it is a heart-warming feeling to know its not completely lost. We still have ladies out there who are ready and willing to stick out from all the rest and do what they know is pleasing to the Father even in dressing femininely, though they may already dress modestly.

I was melancholy when the week of the challenge was over. I so enjoyed getting to see other young ladies' feminine dress photos and hearing their convictions about being feminine. I decided that I wanted to continue to encourage young ladies once a month to go all out being feminine and if able post about it on their blogs. This is how Feelin' Feminine got started.

The Challenge

The challenge is to wear only skirts/dresses for an entire week of seven days , and then post a photo of your outfits (head to toe) on your blog. If you don't have exactly seven different skirts, that's alright. Mix and match with different shirts. We can be not only feminine and modest, but frugal too!

What is on the inside will show on the outside so dressing in a feminine manner in this way shows what we desire and strive for at the heart. Why dresses and skirts, you ask? Read through the websites. Dressing in a feminine manner doesn't mean you must loose your respectability. It means you value your respectability and honour to the Father and to yourself more than you value fashion.
